Katherine Farley, P.E. speaks at STEM Symposium
We’re proud to share that Katherine Farley, P.E., our Vice President of Operations and Principal at KLINE, recently participated as a panelist at the STEM Symposium hosted by Hispanics in Energy – Virginia Chapter. The event aimed to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals, with a special focus on reaching students from underrepresented communities.
Katherine’s journey into civil engineering wasn’t a straight line—but it was deeply intentional. From childhood memories of visiting job sites with her dad to discovering her passion during hands-on college internships, her story is a powerful reminder of how early, real-world exposure can ignite a lifelong career in engineering.
Her insights encouraged students to stay curious, seek mentors, and embrace the unexpected turns that often lead to finding your true calling.
A big thank you to Mónica Gorena Morales for the invitation and for creating spaces that elevate diverse voices in STEM. And hats off to the entire Hispanics in Energy – Virginia Chapter team for their continued work to increase Hispanic representation in the energy industry through education, leadership development, and Spanish-language access.
At KLINE, we’re committed to supporting equity in engineering—because building the future starts with who we empower today.
