KLINE | Celebrating 20 Years

Building Smarter. Building Stronger. Since 2006.

In 2026, Kline Engineering & Consulting celebrates 20 years of engineering, collaboration, growth, and relationships.

What began in 2006 has grown into a multidisciplinary structural engineering firm serving clients across the country, supported by a team across the U.S. and Peru. Along the way, thousands of projects, new offices, industry recognition, and—most importantly—lasting relationships have shaped who we are today.

This milestone is both a celebration of how far we've come and an opportunity to look ahead at what's next.

OUR JOURNEY

20 Years in the Making

KLINE’s story began in 2006, when Don Kline started the company from his home basement with a vision to provide thoughtful, practical structural engineering and exceptional service.

What began with one engineer and an idea has grown into a team of nearly 30 professionals across five offices, working together across markets, disciplines, and borders.

Along the way, KLINE has expanded its expertise, entered new markets, earned industry recognition, and built lasting relationships with clients and partners. From our first project to the thousands that followed, each opportunity—and each person who has been part of the journey—has helped shape the company we are today.

From a home basement to five offices. From one engineer to nearly 30 professionals. Twenty years in the making, and still growing.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECTS

KLINE's story isn't only about structures. It's about people.

It's about the engineers who solved the difficult problems, the BIM teams who turned ideas into drawings, the project managers who built client relationships, the mentors who shared decades of experience, and the young professionals who brought new ideas and perspectives to the firm.

Across offices, disciplines, and countries, our people have shaped KLINE into what it is today.

BUILT ON RELATIONSHIPS

More Than Projects

For 20 years, KLINE has had the privilege of working alongside owners, developers, architects, contractors, specialty contractors, and fellow engineers. Many of those partnerships have continued across projects, markets, and years, helping KLINE grow from a small engineering firm into the company we are today.

Over that time, KLINE has completed 3,500+ projects and built a practice licensed across 22 states and the District of Columbia. But one of the numbers we’re most proud of is 60%, the share of our business that comes from repeat clients.

To us, that repeat business represents more than a number. It reflects the trust of clients and partners who keep bringing KLINE back for their next project, their next challenge, and their next opportunity.

Our greatest measure of success isn't simply the number of projects we've completed; it's how many people choose to work with us again.

Celebrating the People Who Made It Possible

September 24, 2026 | Archer Hotel Tysons

Twenty years deserved a celebration.

On September 24, KLINE brought together employees, clients, partners, family, and friends at the Archer Hotel Tysons to celebrate this milestone and, more importantly, the people who helped make it possible.

It was an evening filled with stories, gratitude, laughter, new connections, and a few well-earned toasts.

For one night, the projects took a back seat to the relationships behind them.

To everyone who joined us—and to those who couldn't attend but sent their messages and well wishes—you are part of this journey.

20/20 VISION

Looking Back With Gratitude. Looking Forward With Purpose.

Twenty years gives us perspective.

We've seen the industry evolve, technology transform the way structures are designed and delivered, and projects become increasingly complex. Through that evolution, KLINE has continued to grow, expanding our expertise while staying grounded in the principles that brought us here: technical excellence, practical solutions, collaboration, and strong relationships.

As we enter our next chapter, our vision is not simply to become bigger. It is to become better at what we do and more valuable to the people we serve.
