Sergio Fagundo, P.E. is Kline’s Senior Project Engineer based in Miami, Florida. Born and raised in the Sunshine State, Sergio is an experienced professional with a rich background in civil engineering and project management. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. His career has been marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence, a passion for structural design, and continued learning. He is licensed in Florida and 6 other states and holds certifications as an ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician and a Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Quality Control Technician at both Levels 1 and 2. Sergio is fluent in English, Spanish, and knows some French, and is currently learning Russian.

Sergio's professional portfolio encompasses a diverse range of projects, spanning from single-family custom homes to complex commercial structures and mid-rise buildings. He specializes in the design of Precast/Prestressed, Reinforced, and Post-Tensioned Concrete structures, and is particularly renowned for his work on homes featuring extensive spans and cantilevers, optimizing open spaces and scenic views. Sergio is proficient in a variety of software, including AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Enercalc, ConciseBeam, RamConcept, and REVIT.

Sergio's passion for engineering was ignited in his youth when his love for Lego blocks, drawing, and mathematics converged. But what truly fuels Sergio's dedication to engineering is the transformation of concepts from paper and pencil into tangible structures. He thrives on witnessing the fruition of his design efforts and the realization of architectural visions.

Beyond the office, Sergio is an avid traveler, favoring road trips to explore cities and historic small towns. His love for food and photography manifests in food blogging on Yelp and Instagram. He frequently hits the gym and participates in 5K runs, cherishes his role as a dog dad, and possesses an unexpected talent for karaoke.

In his role at Kline Engineering, Sergio aspires to help clients realize their architectural visions, translating ideas into concrete reality.
