Summer internship

Kline Engineering & Consulting, LLC (KLINE) is a growing structural engineering consulting firm with offices in Manassas, VA, Charlotte, NC, and Miami, FL.  We have completed projects in over 15 states.  We specialize in three exciting areas.  First, we are experts in the design of post-tensioned concrete buildings, and we provide thought leadership to the post-tensioning industry through our active participation in ACI and PTI technical committees.  Second, we perform condition assessments of existing buildings and bridges and provide repair and strengthening consulting for our clients.  Finally, we perform construction engineering consulting for contractor clients, including the design of shoring, formwork, and jacking and moving heaving structures such as bridges. We are currently seeking a summer intern who is currently working towards a BS or MS Degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.

The successful candidate will be trained in structural engineering design, analysis, and BIM. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT. It is a full-time, in-person position during the summer break in our DC Metro office in Manassas, VA. 

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in BS or MS Degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT.

• Authorized to work In the US
