We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer I with a minimum of 1 year of structural engineering experience for our Manassas, Virginia or Charlotte, North Carolina office.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Under the supervision and guidance of an experienced engineer - :

  • Manages and designs a variety of structural projects.

  • Prepares technical and engineering correspondence and reports.

  • Prepares engineering documents including structural drawings, material lists, reinforcements, and structural specifications for a wide variety of structures.

  • Assist senior staff in the performance of field investigations and condition assessments of existing building structures and design of repair and strengthening strategies.

  • Receives thorough review, instruction, and direction on unconventional and/or complex projects.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering from an accredited university.

  • At least, 1 year of structural engineering experience.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

  • Knowledge of structural design software: Experience working in AutoCAD, and Revit (desirable).

  • Good knowledge in reading and coordinating structural and architectural drawings.

  • Good knowledge of concrete, steel, and wood design.

  • Positive team-oriented work style.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to have fun while working with your team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Legally able to work in the United States. This is a direct-hire and in-person position from either our offices in Charlotte, NC., or Manassas, VA. This is not a remote position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of construction materials and processes, building systems, and Building Code Requirements.

  • Ability to conduct structural condition surveys on job sites.

  • Bilingual (Spanish desirable)
