We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience for our charlotte, nc office.

The candidate will possess the following:

  • BS degree with an emphasis on structural design.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

  • Possess knowledge of concrete, steel, and wood designs; including the ability to apply required provisions of design codes.

  • Methodical approach to problem-solving and completing project requirements, while working as part of a team or independently.

  • Exercises sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, not hesitant to reach out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise.

  • Candidate must have a desire to work in a growing entrepreneurial company.

  • Driven and self-motivated.

  • Legally able to work in the United States. Must reside in North Carolina or be willing to relocate. Hybrid work environment is available.

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under the supervision of a senior engineer or project manager.

  • Participates in project meetings and takes an active role to help the team resolve concerns and problems across all design units.

  • Performs services during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to contractor requests for information (RFIs), and performing site visits to the construction site as needed to help resolve construction issues.

  • Conducts on-site condition assessments of existing structures and prepares technical memorandums summarizing observations and any required repair recommendations.

  • Takes complete ownership of his/her portion of the structural scope, reliably working to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

  • Assists project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.

  • Prepares technical and engineering correspondence and reports.

  • Designs new commercial, residential, institutional buildings, and parking structures. The work will include condition assessments of existing structures and design of repair and strengthening strategies.
