Project Description

The View at Mill Run Apartments is a development situated overlooking Solders Delight Park in Owings Mills Maryland. The development includes multiple buildings with 377 apartment units and a post-tensioned cast-in-place parking garage with 566 spaces. Due to space limitations, it was necessary to bury the SWM tanks below the parking lot.

Kline Engineering was the engineer of record for two underground storm water management detention tanks. The tanks are designed as cast-in-place non-prestressed structures. The roofs were designed to carry approximately 6 ft of soil overburden plus vehicular traffic. The combined capacity of the two tanks is 700,000 gallons.
