300 L Street NE
Washington, DC • Structural Design
300 L Street, located in N.E. Washington, DC, is a six story mixed use building, with one story parking garage below grade, one story of retail at grade level, and five stories of housing units resting on a post-tensioned podium slab.
KEC worked with Facchina Construction to propose a design-build delivery for the concrete frame. KEC was responsible for the design of the cast in place concrete frame for the project. The concrete frame consists of foundations, columns, walls, elevated slab, and podium slab. KEC incorporated post-tensioning for the slab and podium level. KEC’s solution resulted in a robust yet constructible design.
